Meet Adam

Experience shaped by perspective.

From banking and investment advice to leading a multigenerational wealth management business.

Adam Bilyk is Managing Partner of Bilyk Financial Wealth Management and a Portfolio Manager with Bilyk Financial Private Client. He began his financial services career in 2008 and became a principal of the family business in 2013.

Adam’s career includes roles at ATB Financial, TD and Investment Planning Counsel, giving him experience across banking, investment advice and independent wealth management. He holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designations and an associate’s degree in finance from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT).

As a third-generation leader, Adam builds on the approach established when Ed and Anne Bilyk founded the business in 1970: personal relationships, independent thinking and doing what’s right for clients. Today, he works with families, entrepreneurs and individuals whose investment, tax, corporate, retirement and estate considerations require coordinated decisions.

Outside of work, Adam’s greatest priority is spending time with his wife and their two daughters. His wife works in palliative care, and together they share a strong appreciation for family, community and making the most of their time together.

An avid golfer and outdoor enthusiast, Adam enjoys escaping the office to spend time on the golf course, camping with his family and exploring everything Canada has to offer. Whether it’s discovering a new destination, spending a weekend around the campfire or simply enjoying time outdoors with his girls, he values the experiences and memories that come from time spent together.

For Adam, family is at the centre of everything he does. That perspective carries into his professional life, reinforcing his belief that financial success isn’t simply about accumulating wealth, but about creating the freedom, security and opportunities to enjoy what matters most.

Approach

Clarity for the decisions
that matter most.

Wealth management is not simply about maximizing an investment return. It is about understanding how capital, income needs, taxes, businesses, family priorities and long-term goals fit together. Adam's approach begins with a comprehensive view of a client's circumstances, followed by disciplined planning and ongoing coordination.

Drawing on Bilyk Financial's broader investment philosophy, Adam emphasizes thoughtful asset allocation, diversification, attention to liquidity and risk, and a long-term perspective. For complex situations, he works alongside clients' accountants, lawyers and other specialists so decisions in one area of their financial lives are considered in the context of the whole.
